Thank You, Spencerville SDA Health Ministries! Vegan Holiday Recipes

On Sunday, November 9, 2025, we kicked off the holidays in the healthiest (and tastiest!) way—together. A huge thank-you to the incredible ladies from Spencerville SDA Health Ministries for leading LivingWell’s Journey to Health seminar on creating a wholesome, vegan holiday meal. You volunteered your time, shared practical wellness tips, and served up delicious samples that proved festive food can be both nourishing and worthy of a celebration spread. We’re so grateful for your partnership and heart for the community.

What We Learned (and Loved)

Beyond the recipes, you reminded us how to thrive during the holidays:

  • Eat mindfully: slow down, listen to hunger/fullness cues, and give your body a nightly 12-hour rest between dinner and breakfast.

  • Build a better plate: load up on veggies, use smaller plates, and choose high-fiber, minimally processed foods.

  • Plan and move: bring a healthy dish to gatherings, don’t skip meals before a feast, and add a post-meal walk or light resistance training.

  • Hydrate and sleep: keep water close, skip sugary drinks, aim to be in bed by 10 pm, and get 7–8 hours of sleep.

These small, steady habits make holiday joy more energizing—and sustainable.
