About the Authors:
~Pastor Edward Allen spent five years in the Philippines with his missionary parents. He was educated at La Sierra University, Andrews University, and Fuller Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor in Northern California, Hong Kong, and Southern California before moving to Union Adventist University in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2005. There, he served as a professor of religion and as an academic dean. Retiring two years ago, he moved to Renton, Washington, this summer to be nearer to his three daughters. He is married to Dr. Madalyn Burtoft Allen, a retired clinical psychologist.
